For 34 years, the Rochester Area Jaycees have helped teach 4, 5, and 6-year-olds to develop an understanding of safety in their environment as well as a healthy awareness of danger by navigating the streets of Safety Town, a miniature town complete with buildings, cars, bikes, traffic lights, and signs. We are currently seeking teen helpers for the project. Please share this application with teens who may be interested. There will be Safety Town planning committee on Tuesday, June 5th at 6:30 pm at the Rochester Hills Public Library. We will be assembling Safety Town at Delta Kelly Elementary School on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00 am and need volunteer manpower to construct the little city. Click the link below to get involved.
